This hole is drivable straight-away from the front box. From the middle box, big hitters can sometimes get there too — check out this huge C3 that finds the hole from 400+.

Get your drive as long and left as possible to give you room on the approach.  Here’s a straight-in look after a long drive.

Here’s an ace from the front box.  Here is a dunk from the middle box, and this one used the back hill nicely.

Here’s a nice 9-wood ace.  This 2-hybrid was coming in hot! If you’re patient enough you may see Nessie pop out of the water here as you are waiting to shoot into the green!

Here’s a fantastic hole-out around the lighthouse. The drive was perfect and allowed for this nice 9-wood over the top straight at it.  And here’s a crazy hole-out for eagle after having to lay up.

Here’s an example backspin hole-out to this tough green. There’s even some space to miss left and bounce on if you avoid the sand!  Here’s another fantastic 9-wood ace.

Indigo Mound — Hole #5: Par 4

Having a 9-wood is huge here — you can take it right over the side of the structure to the green…but an 8-or-7-wood can be fine too to curve around.

You used to need to do some math to lay up for a 5-wood through the hole in the structure on the approach (I can’t tell if this goes over or through, but you get the idea), but if you pack a 7-wood or 9-wood, just leave yourself somewhere between 190 and 230 yards and […]

Here is a fantastic 5-wood ace.  Check out this amazing 2-hybrid which missed everything through the trees and ended up in the hole! This 5-wood caught an incredible bank back off the far pillar and found the hole — amazing!

You can almost always play a big A1 drive over/through the sand spiral towards the next fairway, setting you up nicely for eagle.  This drive found the grassy center, followed by a hole-out on the approach!

This hole is sometimes drivable, but it can be tough.

Three potential greens to shoot at here!  Here’s a nice 4-wood ace to the right green.  Sometimes a driver can actually skip the water to make the green! Check out this 5-wood to the front green that was short but caught a grassy break! There’s also a backstop that can help too. Here’s a 5-wood ace […]

Here’s a beautifully-played 3-wood.  This 5-wood got two incredibly lucky bounces off the stairs and found the cup!  This 7-wood floated in nicely and spun back in.  And here’s a driver to a back pin.

Here’s a hole-out after a long drive to the second fairway.  You can also lay up behind the second-fairway sand — here’s a hole-out from there.

Aim for the playground grass with the swings, and hope you leave yourself a shot!  This one jumps in the sandbox off the drive — you don’t want this to happen.  However, you could still reach the green if not up against the edge. Another option is laying up to the right in the fairway […]

There are narrow gaps through the trees, either straight or curved.  This one was angled straight through and got some incredible hops and roll into the hole!  Here’s another one straight through with a great deflection at the end. Here’s a hole-out from the fairway after cutting the corner a bit, and here’s a hole-out […]

Tundra Peak — Hole #5: Par 4

If you’re towards the back middle of the box, a high-teed 3-wood can take aim directly at a center pin and clear the mountain!  Keep this in mind as you line up your shot, because you may not have to curve it around. Otherwise, you’ll need to be accurate enough to curve your ball around […]

Tundra Peak — Hole #6: Par 4

Just lay back short of the sand for your approach shot — here’s an example hole-out.  Even if you do carry into the sand, you should still be able to loft a shot into the green.  And here’s a hole-out after a long drive out to the second part of the fairway. VIDEO DEMO

Tundra Peak — Hole #12: Par 3

Use your loft and carry over the ice to the green.  With a back-right pin, the icy mound can serve as a nice backstop!  You can also use the ice to help bounce forward if you end up short, although this one got lucky! Don’t have a high-lofted club?  Just run it into the mountain […]

Tundra Peak — Hole #13: Par 4

By • Updated: Jan 2nd, 2018 • Category: Tundra Peak

The safest play, and only play in my opinion, is to take your shot straight over the mountains ahead to get to the second part of the fairway — use a high tee if it will help you carry far enough. You can still lay back left for a longer approach shot — here’s a […]

Tundra Peak — Hole #15: Par 4

By • Updated: Apr 16th, 2017 • Category: Tundra Peak

It appears as if you’ll have to try to thread the gap between the two mountains if you want a shot at this green (3/4-wood with backspin is ideal) — and this is the best case with a left pin. But, in most cases, you can go over it — the problem may lie in getting the […]

Royal Cove — Hole #17: Par 5

By • Updated: Apr 3rd, 2017 • Category: Royal Cove

Oh, what a hole!  A chance to drive the green, but the penalty of being teed right back on the box if you miss.  The ideal setup for this seems to be a spot on the middle or right of the tee box, with a tailwind or even blowing left.  One option is a high-teed […]
