If it looks tough, it is. If you can stick it here, though, you’ll have a wood into the green for eagle. Don’t be long over the green, though, because it’s out of bounds there!
Going down the island fairways will mostly never get you there in two, but it’s a good way to lay up if you’re 350+ to the cabins into a big wind and there’s no ice. You may as well try a big A1 with backspin, hoping to get lucky and stick on one of the island patches. Here’s a hole-out from there.
If there’s a good wind, or you’re close enough on the box, you can blast a drive over the cabins into the snow. You should still be able to reach the green in two from here also, and it doesn’t require a precision drive! Here’s a hole-out from the snow.
Finally, if the lake is ice and you have a back tee box, don’t be afraid to crank a drive onto the ice just left of the cabins. You may be able to reach the green in two from here as well!

if the wind is with you, by all means shoot for the space between the cabins, if you come up short or long, chip in the “fairway” grass between the cabins go for the green and you’re there for a birdie or eagle

There is a lot of chatter about hitting the small fairway between the cabins, although this is definitely a nice shot if you land on the fairway, but should you miss the fairway, it’s almost impossible to reach the green in two. Also, hitting that fairway is tough. I’ve found an easier way to reach the green in two, probably about 95% of the time. Using the FTX clubs, drive as far as you can into the snow between the cabins and the green. You gain an extra 40 or 50 yards closer to the pin, you should then be able to use the driver to reach the green. If the wind is behind you, quite often, a 3 Wood or even the 4 Wood will make for a better shot. If you have a high wind in your face, you probably won’t make the green, otherwise, it’s makeable. In addition, remember that you won’t have much backspin and will be coming into the green “HOT”, a hard hit driver that strikes the green on the fly will roll off the other side. If you expect to hit the green on the fly, then drop down to the 3 or 4 wood to stick the green.
