Here’s a nice hole-out after a long drive.  Sometimes you may need a driver approach into this elevated green.  While the water in front is cause for concern, it also creates a situation where a firmly-hit driver can skip the water and bounce up onto the green — check out this amazing hole-out!

Your drive has to be long and positioned nicely to have a clean approach shot.  You can either fly right over the sand, or try an A1-type shot as well.  Here’s a nice hole-out.  And here’s a fun angled dunk.

Rustic Bridge — Hole #2: Par 4

Here’s an example hole-out to a front pin.  Here’s a nice 3-wood ace.  This driver found the cup from the back box.  And here’s a nicely-curved 7-wood ace with a bit more challenging tee box. This was NOT a very good shot, but a friendly rock hop and some wind made for a crazy ace!

Royal Cove — Hole #5: Par 4

You’ll be cutting your tee shot around the right side to give yourself an eagle putt here.  Here’s a dunk with a 5-wood with a pretty straight look, and here’s a 3-wood with a small cut around the corner.  It’s usually not too bad unless the wind is blowing right.  If you miss anywhere, miss […]

Here’s an example hole-out.  Also, you can pound your drive longer and straight ahead to give you a safer angle with less water on the approach — here’s a nice hole-out from there.

Grand Canyon — Hole #10: Par 4

This hole looks harder than it actually plays.  Rotate right a couple clicks and play a C2.5-type shot with a hard cut around the mountain, usually with backspin.  This helps the ball come back left and gives you a better angle at the green.  No matter where you end up off the tee, you should […]

Rustic Bridge — Hole #9: Par 4

You can usually get very close to this green, if not on, by hooking your drive around the right side through the trees.  As of 7/30/12, no one has posted a YouTube ace here — I hope to see one eventually!  Just be careful not to clip some leaves — this one likely did, but […]

Rustic Bridge — Hole #4: Par 5

This green is actually drivable with a precise tee shot and a helping wind — check out this shot over the road and through the trees! The trees along the right side look daunting, but you can usually drive it straight ahead far enough to give yourself a straight-in approach shot.  This one was able […]

Rustic Bridge — Hole #18: Par 4

You’ll have to curve your tee shot around a tree into a green sloped towards the water, so wind and spin always play a big role in landing and holding this green.  Here’s a great 3-wood ace.  Check out this incredible driver hole-out!

Rustic Bridge — Hole #14: Par 5

Rustic Bridge — Hole #3: Par 3

By • Updated: Aug 4th, 2012 • Category: Rustic Bridge

Here’s an example ace.  This one landed short but the roll carried it up just far enough to the hole.  And this one was way too far, but the wet green slowed the deflection just enough to help it find the cup. Here’s another short ace from a different box.

Auburn Glen — Hole #9: Par 5

Most of the time, you should be aiming at the fairway straight ahead, especially with a tailwind!  Take a high tee and see if you can get past, or at least stay left, of the sand traps there.  Here’s a hole-out from the fairway after a long drive straight ahead.  It’s not as far as you think […]

Indigo Mound — Hole #17: Par 3

Here’s a nice 7-wood hole-out into this elevated green.  Here’s an ace from the short front box. Lacking lofted clubs?  With a front pin, you can ram it into the hill and maybe get lucky too!  Here’s another one-hopper from the hill to the cup.
