From the middle box you shouldn’t have any issues clearing the walls…this medium-teed 3-wood had plenty of loft to spin into a back pin.  And this high-teed 5-wood went right at it to find a back pin.

However, there is the option to curve around the left side of the first wall if a medium tee and backspin suits you — check out this great 4-wood ace!

From the back box, a well-hit high-teed 3-wood can clear the wall, but you may have to play it out right to start with.  This one caught a friendly bounce off the top of the wall by the green and found the cup!  Towards the front of the box with a tailwind, a 4-wood can clear straight at it with backspin.

The most common, and usually best, spot to be off the tee is over the water and over the sand trap on the right, landing in the rough just to the right of the middle sand trap.  You can always reach the green easily from here.  After a long drive, here’s a hole-out from there.

If you can’t reach that spot, or if the pin placement and wind don’t make that an attractive approach, another good option is to play a straight drive or a C3 drive way out to the rough on the left.  Again, you can always reach the green easily from here, but you’ll have to carry the flower bed on the way in.

The standard route is to lay up in the first fairway and bring it around or over.  Here’s a 4-wood straight into a front pin.  With an offset look, a 4-wood still goes over the trees straight at the green.  Another option is to curve a 3-wood around right-to-left.

This hole is often drivable from the middle box, either straight at it (high-teed driver hit hard will clear the trees) or with a big A1 shot.  Here’s a high-teed A1 drive blasted into a back pin!

With a back pin, just lay up in the fairway for your approach.

You have options left or right depending on your setup and wind here, so you’ll likely get a lot of practice either way.

From the back box, here’s a 4-wood with backspin around the left side.  And here’s a well-placed driver with backspin around the right side.

From the front box, here’s a creative driver off the wall to find the green!

Just put your drive out straight ahead to the front edge of the sandy area that juts out right from the fairway…this is the opening that allows a pretty easy approach into the green.

If you don’t hit far enough off the tee, you may have to cut a driver around into the green, like this great hole-out!

Obviously you can’t be long, so aim to settle in the front/middle part of the green for your putt.  Use a tee to help control your distance.

From the right box, you’ll need to curve it around into the green, hoping either to carry with loft or keep it low and skip up onto the green…check out this low-lofted skip that finds the hole!  And this driver carried to the green and found the cup.  This 3-wood was a tad short but caught a nice bounce forward into the cup!  Finally, this low-teed driver played off the back wall and bounced back into the hole!

With a wind blowing left and a left pin, you may be able to slide right and cut a wood around the right side of the tree instead…check out this high-teed 5-wood ace!

From the left box, this high-loft driver was perfect to a left pin.

This hole is easy from the front box — just blast your drive left or right over the wall into the rough…whichever gives you the best angle of approach to the green.  Just don’t be long on your approach, because if you trickle over, it’ll cost you an additional stroke to get back on.

From the back box with a side or tailwind, you can still blast a high tee over the wall as long as you are a decent hitter.

It gets tricky from the back box with a headwind, where you likely cannot clear the wall.  Instead, play straight ahead in the fairway towards the far end of the fairway before the wall.  Believe it or not, you can hit a driver from here over the gate and carry the green, or worst case, the concrete before the green.  This is your best approach to try to land an eagle with the toughest setup.

Short par 3s often leave you in between clubs, so use a tee and move around with a high/low tee to find your best approach.  There’s always something you can put close…just err towards the center of the green to avoid water and a bogey.

You’re hoping for the middle box here where you can easily blast into the second fairway for a straight approach.

This hole is challenging from the back box when you cannot carry the second fairway.  One option is to settle a drive to the lower left part of the first fairway.  You could have a fairly straight or slightly-curving shot into the green from here.  A 3-wood has enough elevation; a driver might not always clear the hill if you try to curve it over, so muscle up if you can.

Finally, some players are curving their tee shots around right in the rough down by the water.  This works best with a left-blowing wind, where you may have a fairly straight shot into the green with the wind helping blow it over.  This is a challenging tee shot, though, and you won’t always end up with a way to land the green, since you cannot curve the ball out of the rough.

It’s usually not more than a small curve into this green from wherever you are…use a tee to give yourself an easier time.

From the left box, you may only need minimal cut to get around/over the tree to the green…this 3-wood coasts into a back cup.  And this 5-wood cuts around into a back-right pin.

From the front box, you’ll play through the gap on the right instead…this 6-wood cut into the wind nicely with bite for an ace.

Know your clubs off the tee here — do what you can to get in the left or right fairway (usually left) the appropriate distance to give yourself loft over the wall into the green.  A driver won’t clear on the approach, so if you’re too far back, you’d have to cut a driver through the gap and hope to hold the green.  A firmly-hit 3-wood straight at the pin will clear the wall (but a poor or curved hit may not), and of course so will any higher lofted club if your drive is longer.

With a front tee box, play fairly straight over the wall with a high-teed wood to the left fairway…you’ll be good for your approach.

With a back box and a decent wind, a high-teed 4-wood is plenty elevation to get over the left wall.  But with a tough wind, consider rotating right once and playing a high-teed driver or 3W around and through the gap in the walls to the left fairway.  Focus on sticking the fairway, because if you miss, you can’t reach in two.

With a long drive, this 7-wood cut nicely into a left pin.  This approach shot was likely in-between clubs, so a small cut with a 3-wood was a smart move to find the gap into a back pin.

You’ll get some nasty looks here with some very challenging pin placements on an unfairly-shaped green surrounded by concrete and water…not a good recipe for birdie.  Even if you do play safe towards the middle, your putt might not have a line to the hole…this is a great hole to test your distance control and shot-shaping skills.

From the back box, this 5-iron backspins into a right pin.  This 2-iron is also a nice play to a right pin.

The center box is usually the most challenging here since you have to be so precise to miss the tower and stick the green.  The wind and pin placement should determine which side you shoot around.  It’s ideal to play around the opposite side of the pin so you can backspin towards it upon landing the green.

However, a hard-blowing wind to one side or the other should entice you to play with that wind instead of trying to cut into it with so narrow room for error.  You’ll have a longer putt upon sticking the green, but it’s still an eagle putt!

From the center box with a tailwind, this 5-wood was lucky to bounce into a back cup.  This 4-wood was a nice play around the left side to a right pin. This 4-wood goes around the right to a left pin.  Here’s a bigger cut around the right for an ace.  And here’s an incredible 5-wood shot into a front pin!  This 3-wood with bite went around the right side and found a center pin.

From the left and right boxes, this hole is much more manageable.  From the left box, this 5-wood finds a back pin.
