Here are some early screenshots of the course!  Here is the official preview of the new 2020 Ohio course.

Everything about this course oozes elegance. The greens and fairways are meticulously manicured on this Ohio-based gem. The bunkers, and there are many, feel more like artwork than golf course inconveniences.

And the hole design, from the subtle elevation changes that provide a silent punch to an unmistakable drivable par-5 that might just be the most thought-provoking hole in recent years, is immaculate. Everything about the course screams championship golf. Only it doesn’t scream it; such emotions are not tolerated on Oakwood Hills, a place where your virtual-golfing dreams can come true.

Here is a 6-hole preview and discussion from the Golden Tee lounge!  And here are the next 6 holes.  Finally, Adam Kramer takes you through a full 18-hole round here, talking 2020 updates.

GT Par is most commonly -xx to -yy here, with the dependent setups on #a and #b.

This post contains tips, tricks, and information related to the 2020 Golden Tee course Oakwood Hills! Check out the hole-by-hole breakdowns and example hole-outs as I partner up with the Golden Tee community to give you the edge you need to beat your friends!

The GTF club set of choice will be posted below, with the preferred ball being x for advanced players and y for casual players.

Oakwood Hills — Hole #1: Par 4

This green is sometimes drivable…watch this big C3 driver find the hole!  Good looks might call for you to try for it anyway to give you a chance at a chip in.

Here’s an opening hole-out with the 7-wood.

This 3-wood uses the hill to help spin into a front pin.

And here’s a nice driver over the water to a right pin.

Here’s an ace with the 7-iron.

Here’s another with the 6-wood.

Oakwood Hills — Hole #4: Par 5

From the left side of the fairway, this 5-hybrid finds the cup.

If you rotate left, especially when it’s challenging to reach the right fairway, you should be able to drive a grassy area that plays as “yard” (similar to fairway)…hit it here for a much easier chance at eagle!

Here’s an ace with the 5-wood.

Oakwood Hills — Hole #6: Par 4

This par 4 is not always drivable, as there are boxes quite a ways back where a headwind would force you to lay up.  However, a tailwind helped carry this high-teed driver to a back pin.

From a bit closer into a headwind, here’s a high-teed driver that carries to a back pin.

If driving the green is questionable, you can always aim for the sand, or just right of the green.  You might get a decent chip from there or you could even still carry on and in!

Here’s a 6-wood ace.

Oakwood Hills — Hole #8: Par 5

I’ll say this par 5 is always drivable, but it can be hard to stick the green with a tailwind, given you have to make sure you carry the cliff to make the green!  Distance control with come with experience, where you hammer the least club you can hit for more height to try to settle.  But mishits will leave you short and wet!

Here is the ideal setup…a back pin with a manageable distance and a headwind to knock down a high-teed 3-wood for the ace!

While usually not drivable, take a look sometimes with a big tailwind and a closer box.  This 290 driver had enough carry with a high tee to get there and find the hole!

If you rotate left, especially when it’s challenging to reach the right fairway, you should be able to drive a grassy area that plays as “yard” (similar to fairway)…hit it here for a much easier chance at eagle!  Here’s a driver hole-out from there.
